MSU-Maguindanao and DPWH XII Mark Turnover of the College of Agriculture Academic Building

Mindanao State University-Maguindanao, led by Chancellor Bai Hejira Nefertiti M. Limbona, officially received the College of Agriculture Academic Building in a turnover ceremony with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region XII on September 11, 2025. The ₱66,238,563.64 project marks a significant milestone in the university’s infrastructure development.

The new academic facility supports the national government’s Build Better More program and further strengthens MSU-Maguindanao’s role in advancing agricultural education and research. It also aligns with Chancellor Limbona’s Five-Year Development Plan, which prioritizes quality education, modernization of facilities, and sustainable development initiatives.

The project’s groundbreaking was held on December 21, 2023, during the university’s Pistang Sakahan celebration. The ongoing completion of the building underscores the university’s commitment to advancing academic advancement and contributing to the long-term educational growth of Maguindanao and the greater Bangsamoro region.

The university expressed its gratitude to the national government and DPWH XII for their unwavering support. The administration emphasized that the new building will provide students and faculty with an enhanced learning environment, serving as a milestone that will significantly boost agricultural education and research.

Present during the turnover were key officials from DPWH XII, including Engr. Faisal B. Nul, Project Engineer, and Engr. Salongga Lakman, Materials Engineer. Representing the university were Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, Madame Angelita T. Datucan, and Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension, Dr. Marissa N. Parcon, along with faculty members and staff of the College of Agriculture.
