As part of its ongoing expansion efforts, MSU-Maguindanao formally launched its groundbreaking ceremony for the Upgrading of the Academic Building for the College of Public Affairs and Governance on April 13, 2026. The upcoming facility will house modern classrooms, dedicated learning spaces, and upgraded amenities designed to enhance both teaching and learning experiences for students and faculty.
The CPAG building is among the oldest structures at the University. After more than 50 years, a new building is set to rise, made possible through the support of former DBM Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman.
Chancellor Bai Hejira implied the importance of sustained support in making such developments possible. She expressed gratitude to former Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman, sharing that since 2022, her continued support has helped the University gradually strengthen its infrastructure and better respond to the needs of the communities it serves.
In turn, Dr. Datuali P. Abdula, Dean of CPAG, provided an overview of the project and expressed the college’s appreciation for the long-awaited facility. He emphasized that the new building will strengthen the college’s ability to deliver quality instruction and provide a more conducive academic environment. He further highlighted CPAG’s commitment to maintaining its 100% passing rate in the Social Work program, noting with hope that the improved facilities will help uphold academic standards and guide students toward becoming future topnotchers.
The new CPAG academic building is a manifestation of the University’s steadfast dedication to accessible, inclusive, and quality education for present and future generations.
