MSU-Maguindanao Holds 46th Pre-Commencement Exercises and Hooding Ceremony for Master's Degree Graduates

Mindanao State University-Maguindanao celebrated the academic achievements of 107 master’s degree graduates during the 46th Pre-commencement Exercises and Hooding Ceremony held on July 5, 2024, at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex, Bangsamoro Government Center.

The event was graced by the presence of Hon. Almarim C. Tillah, Presidential Adviser on Muslim Affairs, who served as the guest of honor. In his inspirational message, he urged graduates to use their education to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond. He spoke with heartfelt conviction as he said, “As graduates, you have the purpose.  The knowledge you have learned must be translated into policy papers, programs, plans, and projects that can transform the lives of Muslim people.”

A highlight of the ceremony was the hooding of graduates by their loved ones, symbolizing the culmination of their academic journey and support received throughout their studies. The emotional atmosphere was further heightened by a rendition of “Compass” by Lady Antebellum, performed by the graduating students themselves.

Marking the official recognition of the graduates’ academic achievements, diplomas were distributed as assisted by Chancellor Limbona, the respective deans, the program chairperson, and the campus registrar.

In conclusion, the pre-commencement exercises and hooding ceremony for the master’s degree graduates at Mindanao State University Maguindanao were success. The event was a fitting tribute to the graduates’ hard work and dedication.
