MSU-Maguindanao's Second Fellow to YSEALI PFP Civic Engagement
The United States Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with the American Councils for International Education, has selected Assistant Professor IV Princess Sheryn A. Mamucao from the College of Public Affairs and Governance of Mindanao State University-Maguindanao to participate in Cycle 2 of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Professional Fellows Program (YSEALI PFP) under the Civic Engagement theme for September-October 2023.
The YSEALI Professional Fellows Program, fully funded by the United States Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by the American Councils for International Education, offers young professionals a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and exposure within U.S. private businesses, government offices, and non-profit organizations. She will be a part of a prestigious network of young professionals from 11 Southeast Asian countries.
YSEALI PFP will facilitate U.S. placement hosts’ involvement in Reciprocal Exchanges within YSEALI Fellows’ home communities. It is planned to be administered as a hybrid program, encompassing substantial online activities alongside a U.S.-based exchange, which Prof. Mamucao will be joining.
Prof. Mamucao, the only Bangsamoro representative in this program, will undertake her fellowship at the University of Montana School of Social Work in Missoula, Montana, USA, from September 4 to October 13, 2023.
