An evaluation and inspection for the issuance of Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC) to six (6) academic programs of Mindanao State University-Maguindanao was conducted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) on April 20–21, 2026. The activity reviewed the university’s academic programs and their compliance with established quality assurance standards.

During the activity, Chancellor Bai Hejira Limbona emphasized the significance of the COPC evaluation and the role of the RQAT in ensuring that the university’s academic programs comply with the standards and policies set by CHED. She also highlighted the university’s commitment to quality instruction and institutional development.
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Marissa N. Parcon, Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development Dr. Arceli B. Naraga, Dr. Lydia S. Bawa, Director of the Program Accreditation Services Office, and Prof. Genuine M. Uko Malim, HRMO Director and COPC Overseer, welcomed the CHED delegates and RQAT assessors. Together with other university officials, they facilitated the evaluation process and ensured the submission and compliance of the necessary documentary requirements and evaluation materials for the inspection.
Dr. Zohraydah N. Panawidan, Chief Education Program Specialist, presented the objectives of the activity. Following the opening program, the evaluation proper proceeded through parallel sessions, including document validation, consultations with program heads, and inspections of university facilities and learning environments.
The activity concluded with the presentation of observations and recommendations from the evaluators to support further improvements in the university’s academic programs and institutional practices.
