A History of Progress
A History of Progress
From inventing chicken nuggets to exploring the solar system and unlocking DNA sequencing, Cornell research has propelled society forward since our founding in 1865.
From Ithaca to New York City and across the state, Cornell scholars combine their disciplinary expertise through more than 200 centers, institutes, programs, and laboratories.
Working across a network of public and private partners and entrepreneurs, Cornell accelerates translation of ideas and research into products, technologies, and companies with real-world impact and drives regional and state economic growth.
Due to federal funding cuts, more than 140 research projects at Cornell have been halted and more are at risk. Stand with Cornell staff, faculty, students, alumni, and friends as we work to safeguard Cornell’s research and preserve its positive impact on local economies, health care, and our changing climate.
