Vice Chancellor for Research, Extension, and Development (VCRED)

Dr. Ramjie Y. Odin is an alumnus of MSU – Maguindanao where he finished his Bachelor of Science in Fisheries as a Department of Agrarian Reform Scholar in 2007 with distinctions, Cum Laude and University Leadership Awardee. He took his Master of Science in Aquaculture at Central Luzon State University as a DOST Scholar and graduated last 2009. In 2017, he earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Fisheries and Allied Aquacultures at the Auburn University in Alabama, United States as a Fulbright Scholar. He is the first Filipino recipient of the prestigious H.S. Swingle Award for Outstanding Doctoral Student along with other merit-based awards.

Dr. Odin was designated as the Dean of the College of Fisheries and at the same time Director for Research Services in 2019. In January 2020, he was designated as the Vice Chancellor for Research, Extension, and Development. Among his notable contributions in the University is the development of Campus RED Manual.

 

Dr. Odin was hired as one of the faculty members of the College of Fisheries last 2007 under the leadership of the late former Chancellor Nazarollah R. Macalandong.
