Prof. Wahida Nur Kusayin is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Education at Notre Dame University in Cotabato City. She finsihed her Master of Arts in Science Education at the University of the Philippines – Diliman in Quezon City.
 
Prof. Kusayin, who currently holds Professor III faculty rank, has served MSU-Maguindanao for almost four decades. She was hired during the time of former Chancellor Bai Yasmin Q. Sinsuat as a classroom teacher in the High School Department in 1982 and became its principal from 1991 to 1995.
 
She also led the College of Arts and Sciences as its Dean for 15 years. Prior to her designation as the first Vice-Chancellor for Planning and Development, she was the Acting Director of the Integrated Laboratory Science High School.
