Dr. Bai Hejira Nefertiti Sinsuat Macalandong-Limbona, the 4th elected Chancellor of MSU-Maguindanao, is the eldest daughter of former MSU-Maguindanao Chancellor, Prof. Bai Yasmin Q. Sinsuat and former MSU System Vice President for Administration and Finance, Prof. Nazarollah R. Macalandong. Chancellor Limbona was born and raised in Cotabato City. She is married to Honorable Asnawi S. Limbona and the marriage is blessed with four children.

Dr. Limbona took her Bachelor of Science in Information and Computer Science degree from St. Paul’s College of Manila in 1999 and finished her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Computer Applications at De La Salle University – College of St. Benilde in 2002. A year after, she completed the course of Building Leadership at the Asian Institute of Management.

Moreover, in 2010 Dr. Limbona finished her Master in Public Administration from MSU – Maguindanao. In 2012, she fulfilled the Administrative Excellence Service Executive Development Program for SUCs from the Development Academy of the Philippines. In the following year, she attained her Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration from Cotabato City State Polytechnic College, the institution which awarded her the Certificate of Academic Excellence. Among the notable accomplishments this highly spirited woman holds are research and extension services conducted along with local and international trainings, seminars and workshops attended which are relevant to her field of specialization.

Chancellor Limbona has served MSU-Maguindanao for more than a decade. She was appointed as instructor at the age of 23. She has nine years of leadership, managerial, academic, and administrative experiences. She became a member of the Internal Audit System of MSU-Maguindanao in 2003. She served as the Managing Editor of the Newsletter Editorial Board from 2003 to 2007. In 2004 to 2007, she was also appointed as Director of the Division of Student Affairs. Then from 2008 to 2014, she was designated as Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance.

With her election as the 4th Chancellor of MSU-Maguindanao, Chancellor Limbona plays with great elan her aspirations for the university to be globally recognized as a premiere innovative institution that provides excellent quality education, exceptional research advancement, and a diverse study environment.
