SEARCA's LevelUPHEI AFAR Project Culminates with MSU Representative Sharing Transformative Experience

#MSUMagAt50 | Mindanao State University-Maguindanao stands at the forefront of the Leveling-Up Philippine Higher Education Institutions in Agriculture, Fisheries, and Natural Resources (LevelUPHEI AFAR) project, an initiative led by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA). The culminating event of this transformative project took place on December 13-14, 2023, at the SEARCA Headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna.

The culminating forum served as a platform to showcase tangible outcomes and best practices derived from the LevelUPHEI AFAR project, emphasizing its profound impact on the relevance and competitiveness of higher education institutions in the dynamic landscape of the 21st century.

Dr. Ramjie Y. Odin, a faculty member at MSU-Maguindanao and an alumnus of SEARCA’s short-term programs, was selected to share his testimonial. He provided insights into his transformative experience and explained how the acquired knowledge was utilized in developing his Re-Entry Action Plan (REAP). This initiative resulted in the establishment of the Intra-Faculty Exchange Program between MSU-Maguindanao and MSU-TCTO, enhancing instruction, research, and extension activities for their fisheries and environmental studies programs. He participated in the hybrid offering of the 3rd Leadership Development Program for Higher Education Institutions (LDP-HEIs) conducted from November 2022 to February 2023.

SEARCA played a pivotal role in advancing agricultural education through the LevelUPHEI AFAR project. This initiative, funded by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED), outlines strategic objectives to enhance the capabilities of higher education institutions.
