Gateway to Progress: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Upgraded Second Gate and Tractor Handover

#MSUMag | As part of the celebration of its 50th Founding Anniversary, Mindanao State University-Maguindanao held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Upgrading of the Second Gate and conducted the Turnover Ceremony of a brand-new Tractor worth PhP1.3 million, on October 05, 2023. The ceremony was sponsored by MP Engr. Baintan Adil-Ampatuan, CSEE, MNSA, conducted at the facade of the recently upgraded second gate of the university.

The Upgrading of the Second Gate aims to enhance the campus’s pride and identity through its design, height, security systems, and aesthetics. This project stands as a symbol of the university’s commitment to improving its facilities and infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of students and faculty. It includes enhanced security features and increased accessibility, all contributing to a more welcoming campus environment.

Also, the turnover of the tractor signifies a significant boost to the university’s agricultural programs and initiatives. It empowers students and faculty with the latest farming technology, enabling them to conduct research and experiments that can benefit local farmers and promote sustainable agricultural practices.

MP Baintan emphasized the importance of such contributions and expressed her happiness regarding their impact. She explained that the gate serves as a symbol of peace, welcoming both Muslims and non-Muslims to MSU-Maguindanao. This was her motivation for advocating the gate project. Her commitment to improving educational facilities and infrastructure has left a lasting mark on the institution. Furthermore, she underscored the importance of investing in education and agricultural equipment to drive progress and development in the region.

In turn, Chancellor Bai Hejira Nefertiti M. Limbona expressed gratitude for MP Baintan’s contributions and highlighted the vital role such investments play in advancing the university’s vision and mission to be the premier innovative center of development in the region, providing quality education and supporting the local community.

The ceremony was attended by VCPD Dr. Arceli B. Naraga, VCRE Dr. Raquel D. Santiago, VCAF Madame Angelita T. Datucan, VCAA Dr. Marissa N. Parcon, the Deans and some faculty members.
