Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity Facilitates Collaborative Effort: Inter-Agency Meeting on MNLF Socio- Economic Profiling Conducted at MSU-Maguindanao
#MSUMagAt50 | On November 25, 2023, the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity’s MNLF Transformation Program, under the leadership of Director Jana Gallardo, convened an interagency meeting at MSU-Maguindanao. Representatives from MSU – General Santos, MSU – Maguindanao, the Philippine Statistics Office, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines were in attendance.
Director Gallardo reiterated the objectives of the MNLF Transformation program, addressing queries from other agencies regarding the execution of individual profiling. Dr. Badrudin K. Abdul, the project leader for the Technical Work Group of MSU – Maguindanao, expressed MSU – Maguindanao’s full support for the initiatives of the OPAPRU. He emphasized that MSU – Maguindanao is always ready to open its doors to accommodate the programs of the OPAPRU.
It is worth noting that on September 01, 2023, Chancellor Bai Hejira Nefertiti M. Limbona of Mindanao State University – Maguindanao, and Chancellor Usman Aragasi of MSU General Santos, formalized an agreement through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This agreement pertains to the implementation of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) Socioeconomic Component under the Transformation Program in specified priority areas for the Fiscal Year 2023. The ceremonial signing marked a continuation of a prior MOA signed on July 6, 2023, between the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) and MSU System, which took place at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City, Philippines.
