MSUMag Strengthens ABE Program through PRC and PRB-ABE Inspection Visit
The Professional Regulatory Board of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (PRB-ABE), led by Chairman Hon. Ariodear C. Rico, conducted an official inspection of the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) program at Mindanao State University – Maguindanao on May 27, 2025. The visit, held at the Training Center, focused on assessing the program under the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences.
Far from being a mere compliance measure, this initiative reflects MSU-Maguindanao’s proactive commitment to ensuring the continued relevance, quality, and excellence of its engineering program. It underscores the university’s mission to equip future professionals with the competencies and ethical foundation essential to advancing the agricultural and biosystems engineering sector.
BSABE Program Coordinator Engr. Chona O. Fabay and Parang Campus Director Datu Duma G. Sinsuat IV, RCE, warmly welcomed the PRC and PRB-ABE team. Joining the inspection were Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development Dr. Arceli B. Naraga, Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance Madame Angelita Datucan, as well as faculty members, administrative staff, and ABE students.

Guided by Sections 11 (g and p) and 41 of Republic Act No. 10915, or the Philippine Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Act of 2016, PRB-ABE is mandated to evaluate the conditions influencing the practice of agricultural and biosystems engineering through site visits and institutional monitoring.
