The KaltaSSS Collect Program aimed to provide social security coverage for MSU-Maguindanao’s job order or contract of service workers as self-employed members.

Chancellor Bai Hejira Nefertiti M. Limbona, PhD, conveyed that the university is taking steps to provide privileges for other MSU-Maguindanao employees who cannot be afforded the GSIS. Furthermore, she expressed her gratitude to SSS for their partnership and pledged the university’s full adherence to the program’s policies.

Ms. Genuine Uko-Malim, JD, the Human Resource Management Officer, emphasized how KaltaSSS Collect will empower job order and contract of service workers by granting them access to SSS benefits, previously unavailable due to their employment status. This newfound social security coverage will provide these workers with a much-needed safety net, including retirement benefits and healthcare access.

In turn, Mr. Orly C. Mabinay, Branch Head of the Social Security System, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership. He highlighted that this program offers an opportunity for contract-of-service employees to become SSS members. He extended his gratitude for the chance to extend these benefits to MSU-Maguindanao’s COS workers.

Present during the signing were Ms. Shahara Tassnym Magerna, Acting CEO II of SSS, Ms. Norhima Masulot and Mr. Masjud Sangki (Accounts Officers), Ms. Reygen Lumao (Intern), Ms. Tumbay M. Manap (MSU-Maguindanao Finance Officer), Mr. Rogelio Florano (Liaison Officer), and HRMO staff.
