MSU-Maguindanao Organizes Holy Week Activity for Non-Muslim Employees and Students

#MSUMag | In observance of the Holy Week and the Lenten season, the Holy Week Celebration committee of MSU-Maguindanao led by Mr. Leo A. Tabulong  organized a one-day activity on April 4, 2023, at the University Gymnasium, inviting non-Muslim employees and students to reflect on the sacrifices of Jesus Christ leading up to His resurrection, specifically through His Seven Last Words of Victory.

The Lenten season is a significant time for Christians worldwide, a time for prayer, reflection, and penance. This activity aimed to offer non-Muslim employees and students of the University a chance to engage in meaningful reflection, providing a deeper understanding of the Lenten season’s significance and connection to the Holy Week. Also, this demonstrated equal respect and recognition to the Christian colleagues of MSU-Maguindanao.

Ptr. Aristeo Betil, Ms. Janine Cejudo, Ms. Mudzzna Enriquez, Prof. Meldred O. Baguio, and Ptra. Darwinda Betil were invited to lead the session and group sharing. The religious facilitators shared insights on the Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ, providing a deeper understanding of the meaning behind each phrase. The session included group sharing and discussion, allowing participants to express their thoughts and insights about the Lenten season.

The activity concluded with a wrap-up of the insights gained from the session, and the participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to engage in a meaningful and reflective activity.
