MSU-Maguindanao NROTC Cadets Undergo Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI)
#MSUMagAt50 | The Mindanao State University (MSU) – Maguindanao National Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NROTC) cadets recently underwent a Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) facilitated by the 16th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command of the Philippine Army. The inspection was held on June 11, 2024, at the MSU-Maguindanao Parade Ground in Dalican, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
The RAATI aimed to assess the cadets’ training status, achievements, and competencies, as well as evaluate the administrative and operational readiness of the NROTC unit. It’s a yearly activity conducted during the second semester to gauge the performance of ROTC units in the region.
Chancellor Bai Hejira Nefertiti M. Limbona noted that the inspection would not only evaluate the cadets’ skills but also the university’s preparedness. She expressed hope for continuous improvement and thanked the inspection team, assuring them of the university’s commitment to further enhancement.
Colonel Jose Ambrosio F. Rustia, MNSA (INF) PA, the Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retirees Affairs and RAATI Team Chairman, conveyed appreciation for the university’s hospitality. “We are here today for the simple objective of evaluating the implementation of the ROTC program in terms of administration, personnel, equipment, efficiency of the cadets, support extended to the program, and determination of the areas that need improvement,” he added.
Prof. Regina P. Canja, the NSTP coordinator, stressed the importance of honest and constructive feedback for the inspection team. She encouraged active participation from all unit members, acknowledging that self-reflection is key to improvement. Collaboration was emphasized to strengthen the organization’s security, efficiency, and preparedness for future challenges.
The ceremony included a turnover of command and control of the MSU-Maguindanao ROTC Unit to the RAATI Team Chairman. The inspection team members were then introduced, followed by the MSU-Maguindanao ROTC Unit Parade and Review. The activity concluded with an intermission number presented by the university’s cadets’ corps.
