MSU-Maguindanao Collaborates with the DOH and MOH-BARMM

Limbona, along with the Infirmary Personnel headed by University Physician Dr. Firkhan Ahmad Estrella, had a collaborative meeting with representatives from MOH-BARMM, the Malasakit Center, the Population Program Officer IV Ms. Baby Norbaina M. Caludtiag, RN, MPA, from the Malasakit Program Unit, and the Department of Health (DOH), including Ms. Wafa B. Bilao, the Development Management Officer III, Mr. Abdani Marandang, the Financial Analyst IV, Ms. Haanah-Aynee K. Tiboron, and Mr. Fahad M. Guinta, on May 29, 2024, at the Infirmary facility, MSU-Maguindanao.
The meeting focused on improving healthcare services at MSU-Maguindanao, with a key discussion centered on upgrading the university infirmary to function as a full-fledged 25-bed level 1 hospital. Attendees deliberated on acquiring the necessary medical equipment and establishing a timeline for its installation. In addition, the meeting addressed the training of infirmary staff on specific assessment tools crucial for operating the upgraded facilities. Obtaining the required license from the MOH-BARMM was identified as a critical step towards ensuring smooth operations. Finally, the discussion explored the Malasakit Center’s role in providing long-term support through continued guidance and assistance to the upgraded infirmary.
