MSU-Maguindanao and ÇOMU Sign Protocol of Cooperation to Enhance Academic Exchange
#OneMSU | Mindanao State University System delegation led by President Atty. Basari D. Mapupuno, was welcomed by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMU) headed by Prof. Dr. Ramazan Cüreyt Erenoğlu, Rector of ÇOMU, during the scheduled collaborative meeting on March 1, 2024 in Türkiye. The meeting commenced with the signing of the Protocol of Cooperation between MSU and ÇOMU.
The Protocol of Cooperation aims to establish a strong relationship between Mindanao State University-Maguindanao and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMU) by fostering collaboration, mutual understanding, and development in the areas of education and research. The protocol will be implemented through various initiatives, including faculty and student exchange programs, joint research projects, exchange of academic materials, and the organization of joint events like conferences and workshops. The protocol also seeks to streamline administrative processes and provide support for visiting faculty and researchers. Overall, this agreement aims to create a platform for knowledge sharing, collaborative research, and cultural exchange between the two universities.
The agreement between MSU and ÇOMU marks a significant step forward in fostering global academic partnerships and has the potential to advance knowledge, foster innovation, and nurture future leaders equipped to address global challenges by leveraging their respective strengths and promoting cross-cultural exchange.
The signing ceremony, attended by representatives from different MSU campuses, underscores their commitment to global cooperation and academic achievement. Present were Prof. Dr. Ramazan Cüreyt Erenoğlu, Rector of ÇOMU, and Atty. Basari D. Mapupuno, President of MSU System, along with key officials from various MSU campuses: Atty. Rashid V. Pandi (Director, PMS), Atty. Shidik T. Abantas, BOR Secretary. In addition, Chancellors from other MSU campuses were present: Dr. Elnor C. Roa (MSU at Naawan), Dr. Shiela G. Magolama (MSU Buug). MSU faculty attendees included Dr. Rowena C. Benavides, Dean, College of Forestry & Environmental Studies, MSU Maguindanao, Ms. Mary Thallasah Nicole T. Alava, Campus Secretary, MSU Maguindanao, Prof. Gergie A. Ambato, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, MSU Naawan, Dr. Rey Y. Capangpangan, Director, International Affairs and Linkages, MSU Naawan, and Mr. Said Angnie, the Executive Assistant, MSU LNAC.
