MSU at Naawan and DA-NFRDI visits MSU-Maguindanao
#MSUMag | MSU at Naawan headed by Chancellor Dr. Elnor C. Roa visited MSU-Maguindanao along with the Department of Agriculture – National Fisheries Research and Development Institute – Brackishwater Fisheries Research and Development Center (DA-NFRDI-BFRDC) led by Dr. Casiano H. Choresca, Career Scientist I on February 9, 2023 at the Training Center Hall A, MSU-Maguindanao.
A table discussion was held to identify possible lines of collaboration among the institutions and agencies. The College of Fisheries of MSU-Maguindanao presented their research agenda to assess the potential need for assistance, interventions, and partnerships that will strengthen the relationship of the two (2) sister campuses with the aim of improving the life of the Bangsamoro region.
In attendance from MSU at Naawan were Dr. Ruby C. Gonzales, Director for Research Services; Prof. Mariefe B. Quinones, Director for Extension Services; Dr. Rey Capangpangan, Director for International Linkages and the faculty-researchers; Dr. Fiona L. Pedroso, Dr. Fernand F. Fagutao and Prof. Garry C. Marapao.
Also present from the DA-NFRDI-BFRDC were Ms. Marichu P. Fabiosa and Mr. Clark Adrian Abao.

MSU at Naawan has been leading in the field of Fisheries and Marine Science. The University was awarded as Center of Excellence (COE) in their Fisheries program and Center of Development (COD) in their Marine Science Program.
