Joint Press Release of MSU Maguindanao and MSU-TCTO on the Faculty Intra-Exchange Program for Fisheries and Environmental Science
MSU-Maguindanao headed by Chancellor Bai Hejira M. Limbona and MSU Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU TCTO) led by Mary Joyce Guinto-Sali inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Intra-Exchange of Faculty for Fisheries and Environmental Science on June 5, 2023 at MSU-Maguindanao Graduate Studies, Tamontaka, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte.
In his opening remarks, VCRE Ramjie Y. Odin mentioned that this partnership is a re-entry action plan that was generated during the CHED-SEARCA Leadership Development Program held from November 3 to January 13, 2023. Both campuses were among the of the 23 active participants from 12 SUCs, showcasing its commitment to innovation and growth.

this project is in line with President Basari D. Mapupuno’s vision on bringing forward the “One MSU” philosophy. Furthermore, both campuses have acknowledged the importance of collaboration and mutual support for the development of the fisheries and environmental science programs in Mindanao, Sulu, and Palawan. This endeavor aims to address the needs of the Bangsamoro and its surrounding areas to modernize and strengthen the environmental sciences, fisheries and aquatic resources sectors.
Chancellor Limbona and Chancellor Guinto-Sali expressed their unwavering dedication as they stand committed to the shared vision and values of OneMSU. Moreover, they hold a strong conviction that this will foster a stronger bond between their respective campuses, leading to fruitful exchanges, enhanced cooperation, and mutual growth that will benefit both academic communities.
Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Alma E. Berowa commended the two Chancellors for their proactive initiative and remarkable speed with which they have worked together in establishing this collaboration.
MSU System Faculty Regent Dr. Alihsan U. Jemsy mentioned that this partnership serves as an avenue to share the expertise of each campus and reinforces the commitment to #ONEMSU.
