Bai Hejira Nefertiti Macalandong-Limbona Reappointed as Chancellor of Mindanao State University–Maguindanao, Fourth Regular Chancellor
Chancellor Bai Hejira Nefertiti Macalandong-Limbona formally took her oath of office on December 22, 2025, before Chairperson Shirley Agrupis of the Commission on Higher Education, and members of the MSU Board of Regents, marking her reappointment as Chancellor of Mindanao State University–Maguindanao. The oath-taking affirms the confidence reposed in her leadership as she continues to guide the University’s academic and institutional direction.
First sworn into office in December 2021, Chancellor Limbona’s tenure has been marked by steady and inclusive leadership focused on institutional stability, academic strengthening, and alignment with national higher education standards. Under her stewardship, MSU–Maguindanao strengthened academic programs, research and extension initiatives, faculty and student support systems, and partnerships with government agencies and development partners.
Her reappointment affirms a shared commitment to continuity, excellence, and public service as Mindanao State University–Maguindanao advances its mission for Mindanao and the Bangsamoro.
