The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between MSU-Maguindanao and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)

The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between MSU-Maguindanao and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) on the Free Use of the Tech4Ed Platform and the Ceremonial Turnover of the Tech4eD Center Equipment Package was held last January 11, 2021, at the OVCRED Hall.
The DICT was represented by its Mindanao Cluster III Regional Director, Mr. Alimbzar P. Asum, MPA, JD, CESO V. The Provincial IT Officer of Maguindanao— Engr. Manan L. Butongkay, and Albert Gabriel— Tech4Ed Focal Person were also present in the activity.
Chancellor Bai Hejira M. Limbona emphasized on her message that the digitalization of MSU-Maguindanao is one of her visions for the university. She considers this partnership as a stepping stone towards the goal of becoming one of the most competitive SUCs in the region. Thus, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) will not only strengthen the academic services of the university but also its research, extension, and production services.
Also present in the MOA signing were Vice Chancellors: Dr. Consuelo D. Samson (VCAA), Dr. Ramjie Y. Odin (VCRED), Prof. Wahida N. Kusayin (VCPD), and other office heads and directors.

General faculty orientation of MSU-Maguindanao under the leadership of Chancellor Bai Hejira M. Limbona

The General Faculty Orientation was conducted last January 12, 2021 at the Datu Odin Sinsuat Gymnasium.
With the re-orientation of the faculty members of their duties and responsibilities in the academe playing the pertinent role in the taking off process of MSU-Maguindanao’s new administration under the leadership of Chancellor Bai Hejira M. Limbona, the OVCAA led by Vice Chancellor Consuelo D. Samson, PhD spearheaded the conduct of the general faculty orientation which provided the venue for the faculty to renew their commitment to service for the accomplishment of the university’s vision, mission, goals, and objectives.
Chancellor Limbona reminded everyone on the importance of education as it is focal in the survival of a nation and she specifically emphasized the significance of meritocracy over democracy should the university aspire to realize its VMGO and compete among and alongside top schools and universities in the country.

The Mindanao State University launched its first Learning Management System (LMS)

The Mindanao State University launched its first Learning Management System (LMS).
The Moodle LMS will serve as the platform for the conduct of online classes starting this 2nd Semester of Academic Year 2020- 2021. In this light, the Computer Information Center, IT Department and the University Programmers conducted a week – long training for the heads of the colleges and high school departments and their faculty to equip themselves of the skills needed in using the abovementioned online platform last January 13-19, 2021.
The new LMS will ensure effective and efficient delivery of learning to MSU students. Apart from such, it also features application for monitoring of activities delivered by the university faculty workforce.
