Consultative Meeting Strengthens MSU-Maguindanao’s Ties with JICA and Zuitt Institute Inc.
Mindanao State University–Maguindanao held a consultative meeting with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Zuitt Learning Institute, Inc. to explore potential partnerships for the Industry Development through Engineering Education in BARMM initiative.
The meeting, attended by JICA Policy Coordinator Rhadzni Taalim, Zuitt Learning Institute, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Mr. Tomohisa Kato, and Group Chief Technology Officer Mr. Allister Grant Alambra, focused on integrating applied lessons and technical training into the laboratory courses of the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences. This initiative aims to align academic instruction with industry needs, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.
Supported by JICA, this collaboration aims to strengthen technological education and capacity building in the Bangsamoro region. Representing MSU-Maguindanao were Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Marissa N. Parcon and the program chairs of the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences.
The University led by Chancellor Bai Hejira M. Limbona, continues to promote industry-aligned engineering education that supports regional development in BARMM.
