Instating 51st Milestones at the 50th Landmark

MSU-Maguindanao recently marked its 51st Milestone at the 50th Landmark during the opening ceremony of its 51st Founding Anniversary, highlighting the university’s significant achievements over the year.

Among these milestones is the establishment of the University Infirmary Building, officially inaugurated on January 24, 2024, with DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman in attendance. Another major achievement is the MSU College of Law, Maguindanao Extension, which was granted authority to offer a Juris Doctor Degree as an extension program of the College of Law at MSU Main Campus on April 1, 2024.

Also noteworthy is the offering of the Diploma in Women, Peace, and Security, confirmed during the 267th Board of Regents Meeting on July 24, 2024. Furthermore, the establishment of the MSU-Maguindanao Parang Campus was finalized following a referendum, with approval granted through BOR Resolution No. 3-R-7, S. 2024, and validated on July 24, 2024, by BOR Resolution No. 213, S. 2024.

During the marking ceremony, Dr. Consuelo Samson, a senior faculty member, reflected on the significance of these milestones, stating: “Let these markers stand as testaments to the challenges we have faced, the glories we celebrate, and the pride we hold. While this landmark may not withstand the test of time, the words inscribed upon it will be immortalized in the hearts of all, serving as legacies for future generations to know, respect, and protect, ensuring that they benefit and enjoy these achievements forever.”

The 51st Milestones at the 50th Landmark not only commemorate past accomplishments but also set the stage for future aspirations, as MSU-Maguindanao continues to advance in instruction, research, extension, and production, and contributing to the socio-cultural and economic development of BARMM and the region as a whole.
