Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Infirmary Hospital Equipment and High-End Ambulance
In line with the celebration of the 51st Founding Anniversary of MSU-Maguindanao, new medical equipment and a high-end ambulance were unveiled for the Infirmary Hospital on October 10, 2024, at the Infirmary Facility.
Dr. Firkhan A. Estrella, the University Physician, provided an overview of the newly acquired items. The infirmary has secured 25 beds capacity, 20 of which are manually operated in two variants, and 3 electric hospital beds. In addition, they have acquired an OB-GYN table for deliveries, 4 stand-alone air conditioning units, and a centralized cooling system for the hospital. A water purification system was also installed to help prevent the spread of infections within the infirmary. Other important additions include a cardiac monitor, an X-ray machine, an echocardiogram, and a cardiotocogram—vital tools for delivering high-quality medical services.
The ceremony also included the ribbon cutting of an ambulance worth 2.5 million, further enhancing the infirmary’s capability to respond to emergencies and provide efficient healthcare services.
Chancellor Limbona expressed gratitude to President Mapupuno for his full support in realizing these improvements. She acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the infirmary workforce and shared her hope of improving the welfare of the infirmary personnel, specifically emphasizing that fair compensation is essential to motivate and support those on the frontlines of healthcare.
MSU System President Mapupuno highlighted the significance of the turnover of the new infirmary hospital equipment, describing it as an invaluable asset that will greatly enhance healthcare services for the campus and the surrounding community. He emphasized that MSU-Maguindanao must continue striving for growth by introducing new programs and fulfilling its mandate to be a force for fundamental positive change. This, he said, can be achieved through the transformative power of education, improved community services, and sustained peace-building efforts. “As I have said many times before, our goal is to stream peace, and that can only be achieved by celebrating diversity,” he concluded.
Also present at the ceremony were Dir. Bashier Mapupuno, Dir. Juhary Pangandaman, Dir. Datudacula Mandangan, Executive Assistant Janeda Dianalan, Executive Assistant II Refaat Sarip, and other MSU System officials, along with deans, infirmary personnel, faculty members, and staff.
Alhamdullilah.
