Course Description/Overview

The BS Forestry program promotes the scientific conversion and management of forests for judicious and sustainable use of forest products and services. The program covers four (4) fields of study namely: Forest Biological Sciences, Forest Resources Management, Social Forestry and Forest Governance and Forest Products Utilization.

Entry Requirements

The admission and graduation requirements for the BS Forestry (BSF) major in Agroforestry program are consistent with the university policies appertaining thereto. A System Admission and Scholarship Examination (SASE) or College Entrance Test (CET) score qualified for admission to a baccalaureate program is a specific requirement for New Freshmen students who have duly completed the Senior High School program. The program is open to all Senior High School students who followed the STEM strand. Students following the other strands may still be admitted to the curriculum but may be required one Math subject and one Biology subject. Shifters from other colleges, who were admitted to the University with the K to 12 programs, should not incur failing grades in the preceding semester and should have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 or better. Incomplete grades are considered failed until officially completed. In addition, dropped courses will also be considered “failed” unless done officially.
