 41ST COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES OF

MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY-MAGUINDANAO

June 01, 2016-graduation day for the MSU-Maguindnao community. Headed by Chancellor DR. BAI SORAYA Q. SINSUAT, faculty and staff planned and prepared for this annual event. As expected, on this day the University gymnasium was loaded with 619 graduates from the 6 colleges and graduates studies, faculty and staff, parents and other guests who came all the way from distant places to join the celebration. Cameras snapped, parents grinned and sighed as the candidate for graduation, faculty and staff started to march.

This very momentous event was attended by the MSU System Board officials headed by the newly installed President Hon. DR. HABIB W. MACAAYONG.

It has been a tradition that every commencement exercises, the program and invitation committe is tasked to scout, search and invite for a relevant speaker. And for this 41st commencement exercises we were privileged to have the very active and dynamic guest of honor in the person of DR. JOHN MAGNO, DepED ARMM Secretary.

Educator himself told the graduates that this day is the first day not only of the rest of their lives but of their "real" lives. He challenged the graduates that although there are a lot of opportunities waiting, they should also prepare themselves to the stiff competition in the job hunting world.

He articulated that many of those who claimed diploma on this graduation season worked hard to earn it. But many will find themselves competing, in some sense, against young people in other regions or countries maybe who had to work harder and learned more. they will find that these prospect emloyers are in some ways affected by competitors in regions or countries that take education more seriously and make sure their workforce has more of the specialization needed and that thinking and problem-solving skills, and the work ethic that it will take to come out on top.

For students, earning that long-sought degree san mean a lot of things. completing their bachelor's and master's or earning a certificate represents a lot of hard work and dedication and it should make them feel confident they can take that next step. For most, that means entering the workforce, preferably in a field of their choice.

And for their families-parents, children, siblings, other relatives-the milestone is a memory to treasure. They will have seen their loved one complete the cycle-from kindergraden through high school and finally finishing college and mastter degree.

So. to the graduates, their families and friends, too, we wish you well. Your MSU-Maguindanao faculty and staff are so proud of you.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
